Ada Lou Rickborn Obituary

Ada Lou Rickborn, 73, wife of Harold O’Neil Rickborn, entered into eternal rest on August 3, 2022. 


Graveside Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday in the Magnolia Cemetery with Mr. James Dukes and Rev. Aaron Hawk officiating.  


Lou was born on September 30, 1948, in Orangeburg, a daughter of the late Charles Lamar and Gertrude Dukes Simpson.  She was a licensed cosmetologist, taught cosmetology in Orangeburg and was the owner of Lou’s Beauty shop in Branchville.  She was a member of Reevesville Baptist Church.  She was predeceased by siblings, Wayne Simpson, Lee Stearns and Amy S. Crosby; stepson, Rodney Rickborn. 


Surviving is her husband, Harold O’Neil Rickborn, St. George; sons, Harold O’Neil “Bubba” Rickborn, II, St. George and Rusty Rickborn, Charleston; a daughter, Candace Rickborn, Charleston; grandchildren, Brandon, Brittany, Grayson and Dillion; 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, Glenn (Marlene) Simpson.
