Barbara Ann Whitlock Obituary

Barbara Ann Whitlock, 69, of Bowman, wife of Robert Whitlock entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 13, 2023 at her residence.


Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday at Prospect Southern Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Bogstad officiating.  Burial will follow in the Rigby Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be James Lewis, E.T. Spires, Don Boucher, Brad Boucher, Harold Felder and Tim Sweeny.  Visitation will be an hour before the service in the church. 


Barbara was born on June 11, 1953, in Amsterdam, New York, a daughter of the late Robert Morehouse and Doris Holcomb Morehouse.  She was an environmental aid with Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville, New York and a member of Prospect Southern Methodist Church.  She loved gardening, flowers and animals.  She was first married to the late Roger Boucher and predeceased by siblings, Harold Morehouse and Joyce Morehouse. 


Surviving is her husband, Robert Edward Whitlock, Bowman; sons, Donald (Wendy) Boucher and Bradley (Jenny) Boucher, all of Texas; daughter, Jennifer (Tim) Sweeney, Utah; special niece, Michelle (Jeff) Lestage and her children Joshua Drake and Amanda Grinnell; sister, Roberta (James) Barkevich, Amsterdam; grandchildren; Anthony Hawkins, Joanna Boucher, Erik Boucher, Ryan Boucher, Cheyenne Wright, Brianna Boucher,  Alexis Strong, Emily Watson, Jacob Sweeney; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 


Memorials may be made to Prospect Southern Methodist Church, 344 Flatwoods Road, Bowman, SC 29018, PO Box 67, Branchville, SC 29432 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
