Bertha Cauthen Weaver, widow of Retired Lt. Colonel Wendell L. “Skee” Weaver, Jr., US Army, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at her home.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Zion United Methodist Church, Dorchester, S.C. with Rev. Sharon Long officiating.

Bert was born on January 17, 1946, in Dorchester, a daughter of the late Hess Alexander Cauthen and Mary Adelaide Brown Cauthen.  She was a 1964 graduate of Rivers High School and was a retired Realtor and bookkeeper.  She enjoyed being an Army wife, traveling with her friends and spending time with her grandchildren. 

She was predeceased by her husband, a son Wendell L. “Trey” Weaver, III, and a brother, Sidney M. Cauthen.

Surviving is her son, Alex Weaver (Nan) of Columbia, two grandchildren Trey and Morgan, sister, Lucy W. Turner; and a number of nieces and nephews.
