Billy Stancil, Jr., husband of Joyce Dukes Stancil, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 15, 2024, at his residence.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Beulah Baptist Church with Reverends Howard Proveaux and Roger Smoak officiating. Visitation will be an hour before the service.
Billy was born on June 18, 1946, in Seneca County, a son of the late Bill Stancil and Irene Gilstrap. He was a retired sheet metal foreman for Evans Sheet Metal. He was a member of St. George Pentecostal Holiness Church and he enjoyed working in his garden and collected coins. He loved the Lord passionately.
He was predeceased by a son, William Christopher “Chris” Stancil, III; three grandchildren, Shawn Brown, Addilyn Broad and Peyton Broad; siblings, Helen Goss, Mary Davis, Shelby Long, Charles Stancil and Harold Stancil.
Surviving is his wife, Joyce Dukes Stancil; a son, Wimberly “Kyle” (Lalita) Stancil, Neeses; daughters, Kimberly Elaine (Wayne) Broad, Ridgeville and Janice A. (Todd) Collins, Louisiana; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Stancil, Branchville; grandchildren, Elias Stancil, Jacob, Kinsley and Kaylee Broad, Breana Kurts and Christina Brown, Emma and Ava Stancil, Tyler Rodenberger; and sisters, Margaret Tedder and Gail Flake.
