Carroll Webster Horton, Jr., widower of Joyce Smith Horton, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 2, 2025, at his residence.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday at St. George Memorial Gardens.
Carroll was born on January 17, 1942, in Charleston, SC, a son of the late Carroll Webester Horton, Sr. and Sara Vermell Smith Horton. He was a graduate of St. Paul’s High School and was a truck driver and owner and operator of Horton Trucking. He attended Memorial Baptist Church. He was predeceased by a sister, Lois Beth Hughes.
Surviving are his daughters, Sherrell Horton and Rose Marie (Lee) Holland; grandchildren, Rebecca, Angela and Brittany; 6 great grandchildren, 4 great, great grandchildren; sisters, Sandra Horton and Debra (Tommy) Jennings; brother, Charles Thomas (Monna Rae) Horton; niece, Lindsey Melvin (Sean) and great niece Hayley Melvin; step-children, Tony Miller, Larry Miller, Mary Beth (Tim) Still and Robert (Tina) Miller; 10 step grandchildren; 20 step great grandchildren; 5 step great, great grandchildren.
