Charles Woodrow "Woody" Barsha, Jr., 84, husband of Lois Rickborn Barsha, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, November 17, 2025 at Old St. George Baptist Church with Rev. James Way officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy Rickborn, Jason Lattimore, Bill Kinard, Alex Wagers, Rick Jahn, Tim Wilson.
The family will receive friends an hour before the service.
Woody was born on March 27, 1941, in Givhans, a son of the late Charles Woodrow Barsha and Frances Mazie Barsha. He graduated from Summerville High School, owned a motel and service station, and worked over 20 years as a rural mail carrier. He was skilled in many trades and served as a deacon at Old St. George Baptist Church. He was predeceased by sisters, Linda Albury and Mildred Martin.
Surviving is his wife, Lois R. Barsha; sons, Chris (Kalee) Barsha and Charles (Dona) Barsha; grandchildren, Emily Barsha, Caleb Barsha, Connor (Alyssa) Barsha, Wesley Barsha; great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Jackson Barsha.
