Crystal Riser Weathers, of Bowman, widow of Wilbur Watson Weathers, Sr., entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 13, 2024, at the Oaks Post-Acute Care.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 11:00 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 1600 Ebenezer Road, Bowman, SC 29018 with Rev. Mary Everhart officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Curt Ott, William Weathers, John Weathers, Wesley Ott, Brody Wilson, Gunnar Altman, Jon Fowler, Watson Weathers, Jr., Amos Weathers and Henry Weathers.  

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, May 15, 2024, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Bryant Funeral Home in St. George, SC.

Crystal was born on November 6, 1931, in Bowman, a daughter of the late Thomas Carter Riser and Nell Weathers Riser.  She was a lifelong resident of Bowman and one of her proudest accomplishments was serving as the organist/pianist at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Bowman, for over 50 years. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers, Thomas Riser and William “Bill” Riser; son-in-law, George Carn; sister-in-law, Peggy Guinn Riser. 

Surviving are her children both of Bowman: Sheryl Weathers Carn and Wilbur Watson Weathers, Jr. (Anne); grandchildren, Kristi Carn Ott (Curt), Lee Ann Carn Altman (Jon Fowler), William Watson Weathers, Jr. (Melissa) and John Rouse Weathers (Molly); great-grandchildren, Leah Wilson (Brody), Wesley Ott (Ashton), Gunnar Altman, Zoey Weathers, Kate Weathers, Watson Weathers, Amos Weathers and Henry Weathers; sisters, Virginia Bowes and Mary Lou Faulling (Francis); sister-in-law, Peggy F. Riser; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of MSA Hospice for their care as well as the staff at the Oaks of Orangeburg.
