Daniel Howard “Danny” Westbury, 74, of Harleyville, widower of Boogie Westbury, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 18, 2024

Funeral Services will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Harleyville Southern Methodist Church with Rev. Haskell Parler officiating.  A burial will follow in the church cemetery. The visitation will be an hour before the service. The pallbearers will be Heath Westbury, Bruce Blanchard, Trent Pendarvis, Adam Pendarvis, Richard Purvis and Andy Bell.

Danny was born on April 3, 1949, a son of the late Jeffferson “Buster” and Virginia Fralix Westbury.  He retired from Giant Cement Plant and previous partner with JH Westbury and Sons Farm.  He was a charter member of the Harleyville Southern Methodist Church.

He was predeceased by a brother, David Westbury, brother-in-law, Daniel Blanchard and sister-in-law, Debra Wimberly.   

Surviving is his son, Daniel Howard (Laura) Westbury, Jr.; daughters, Amy (Richard) Rickenbacker and Mae (Michael) Taylor; grandchildren, Clint Westbury, Christina (Mike) Kaup, Andrew Taylor and Abigail Westbury; great-grandchildren, Aiden Bauerle and Axl Kaup; sister, Louise W. Blanchard; brothers, Jefferson Lewis “Bill” (Nell) Westbury and Robert Mitchell “Bobby” (Alice) Westbury; sisters-in-law, Brenda Griffin and Laura Westbury and brother-in-law, Juluis Wimberly.
