Donald “Donnie” Marchant, 82, widower of Peggy Jean Marchant, entered eternal rest on Sunday April 30, 2023 at his residence in Rosinville.

A Memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday May 4, 2023 in Harleyville Southern Methodist Church with Rev. Damon Williams officiating.

Donnie was born December 21, 1940, a son of the late Fitzu Lee and Pearline Infinger Marchant. He was a graduate of Harleyville-Ridgeville High School and was a retired truck driver for R & L Carriers in Columbia. After moving from Orangeburg back to Rosinville, he was a site manager for Dorchester County at dump sites where he never met a stranger. He was an active member of Harleyville Southern Methodist Church. He was predeceased by his wife, son, Donald Curtis Marchant; siblings, Larry Marchant and Roland Marchant.

Surviving is his daughter, Peggy Charlene M. (Bobby) Revell; daughter in law, Lisa Marchant; sisters, Dicksie M. Knight and Netta M. Atkins. Grandchildren, Shane (Connor) Marchant, Sarah Marchant, Scott Revell, Corey (Charlotte) Mackey, B.J. (Stephanie) Revell, Travis Mackey, and Tasha Revell. Great-grands Camron, Zack, Bethany, Kinsley, Izzy, Mason, Drake, Joshua, Jada, Christopher, and Chelsea. Great-great grand, Cydney. His special friend, Becky Hucks.
