Earl Randolph Floyd, 85, of Harleyville, widower of Mary Glenn Hodges Floyd, entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 7, 2024.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 11, 2024 at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Exum Harrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Harleyville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dale Waggoner, Shannon Mixon, Stewart Mixon, Tony Kinsey, Ward Knight, Johnnie Marchant, Jr., Dewitt Floyd, James Varn and Wayne Slagle. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Following the burial, the family will receive friends at 162 East Main Street, Harleyville.
Earl was born on July 26, 1939, in Sumter, SC, a son of the late Allard Dewitt Floyd and Emmie Lou Revell Floyd. He was retired US Navy and heavy equipment operator for Gifford Hill Cement Company. He was an avid supporter of Hayden, Addisyn and Easton Waggoner of Woodland sports. He was predeceased by a grandson, Mark Floyd; granddaughter, Ashley Bass; siblings, Mary Ella Wefers, Patricia Ann Winter, Kedron Lanier Floyd, Sr. and Clark Dale Floyd.
Surviving daughters, June (Loree) Floyd, Donna Floyd Phillips, Christine (Exum “Chubby”) Floyd Harrell; sons, Tommy Floyd, Shannon (Valerie) Mixon and Stewart (Debbie) Mixon; sister, Belinda Barthel; grandchildren, Kelley Taylor, Steven (Casey) Sills, Donald (Ashley) Adcock, Exum “Squeak” (Rebecca) Harrell, Troy (Ashley) Mixon, Hannah Mixon, Alex Mixon, Wesley Mixon and Maggie Mixon; 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a special niece and caregiver, Debbie Kinard.
