Honea Path – Edna Earl Jameson Sanders Dukes, 85, widower of Arthur C. Dukes, Jr., of The Maples of Honea Path, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023 at her home.
Born in Cope, SC she was a daughter of the late Earl Richard and Mary Anne Sanford Jameson. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Honea Path. Mrs. Dukes retired from St. Andrews United Methodist Church where she served as the church secretary. She was a long time resident of St. George S.C. where she was a faithful member of St. George United Methodist Church.
Surviving are: her son, Tom (Laurie) Sanders of Anderson; her daughter, Lisa (Tom) Prini of TX; two grandchildren, Addie Grace Sanders and Parker Kate Sanders; and special friend, Pinckney Murray of Grover, S.C.
Mrs. Dukes was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her sister, Clara Ann Cope.
Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Honea Path with Rev. Gayle Summey Beaudrot officiating. Interment will follow at 11 A.M. Thursday, November 30, 2023 at St. George City Cemetery, St. George S.C. with Rev. Theron Smith officiating.
