Elon Ann Atkins, wife of Thomas Edward Atkins, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at her residence.
Ann was born on July 11, 1944, in Lexington, North Carolina, a daughter of James Steward and Edna Thrift Hatley. She was a former general manager of Hotels in Charleston Area. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, she formerly a member and served on board of Charleston Restaurant Association, Greater Charleston Hotel Motel Association, Chamber of Commerce’s of Charleston, Tri-County Chamber, and Charlotte Chamber of Commerce. She also served as Chairman of Greenville Heart Fund Ball.
Surviving is her husband, Thomas Edward Atkins, Jr; daughters; Linda Dianne Nunn Spaulding and Melissa Elon Atkins. A stepson, Jay Atkins; grandchildren, William Austin Spaulding, Kyle Edward Spaulding, and Katherine Kelly Spaulding; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Elon Wadsworth and Evan Thomas Wadsworth sister; Dorothy Jean Hartley Miller.
