Ernest Ray Bailey, 88, of St. George, husband of Linda Bailey, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 26, 2025 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 29, 2025, at Victory Fellowship Church, 1286 State Road, Summerville. Burial will follow in the Plantation Memorial Gardens of SC. The family will receive friends an hour before the service.

Ernest was born on April 21, 1937, in Beaufort County, a son of the late Rufus Joseph Bailey and Eva Carolyn Heap Bailey.  He was a retired rigger with the Charleston Naval Base and was a school bus driver.  He loved working on cars, woodworking with arts and crafts and was a pilot.  He was a member of Victory Fellowship where he enjoyed playing his accordion in the church.   He was predeceased by daughters, Laura Renee Bailey and Miriam Lynn Ricker; brothers, Otis Randolph Bailey, Harold E. Bailey and Rufus Joseph Bailey; and sisters, Eva Joyce Bailey and Shirley Jean Bailey.

Surviving is his wife, Linda Hart Bailey; sons, Ernest Ray Bailey, Woodrow Kevin Bailey and Robert Cooper; daughters, Eva Louise Bailey and Geneva Headden; brother, George Norwood Bailey; stepdaughter, Tonya R. Brandenburg and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
