Evelyn Myers McAlhany, 88, of Branchville, widow of Benjamin Fairey McAlhany, entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 1, 2025.
Funeral Services will be held 11a.m.Thursday, September 4, 2025, in Beulah Baptist Church, with Rev. Jakie Walters and Steve Mims officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dennis Edwards, Steve McAlhany, Robert Patrick, David Myers, Jamie Watts, and Andy Green.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday September 3, 2025 at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George, SC.
Evelyn was born in Dorchester County on September 18, 1936 a daughter of the late William Lewis Myers, Sr. and Agnes Amelia Atkins Myers. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church where she served in many leadership roles. Entertaining family and friends with a home cooked meal was a passion in her life as was sharing her homemade bread and cinnamon rolls.
She was predeceased by her brothers, William Lewis Myers, Jr., Walter D. Myers and Wayne Roger (Vernelle) Myers.
Surviving are her children, B. Karey (Sachiko) McAlhany of Aiken, SC, Melody A. McAlhany and Charm M. (Murphy) Tollison both of Branchville, SC; grandchildren, William K. (Amber) McAlhany of Aiken, SC and Hannah T. (Alex) King of Moncks Corner, SC; great-grandson, Lee King; brother, Richard Alton (Lynn) Myers, of St. George; sisters, Geneva M. Patrick and Emily P. Watts, both of Summerville, and Dixie M. Meyer, St. George; and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Myers.
