Evelyn "Lyn" Harriott Franks

Evelyn “Lyn“ Harriott Franks, of Saint George died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.

Born on May 1, 1966, she was the fifth and youngest daughter of Evelyn Weathers and Charles Carlisle Harriott. A graduate of St. George High School, Lyn attended the University of South Carolina. The devoted wife of Steve Franks and loving mother of Lauren and Ben, Lyn enjoyed trips to the beach, and most of all, spending time with her cherished granddaughter, Madison Elizabeth. Lyn will be remembered for her beautiful smile, sense of humor, and her devotion to family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Eric Stephen Franks; her daughter, Lauren Ashley Franks; son, Benjamin Stephen Franks (Shelby); granddaughter, Madison Elizabeth; sisters, Cheryl Harriott Fisher (Allen) of Columbia, South Carolina, Jane Harriott Malphrus (Tommy) of Boonsboro, Maryland, Jeanne Harriott Landry (Rick) of Plattsburgh, New York, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Angela Harriott Coffey.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at St. George United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Butler and Pastor Kathy Hudson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Magnolia Annex Cemetery.  Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George.
