Frances Knight Ardis, 89, of Harleyville, widow of Robert Gene “Bobby” Ardis, Sr., entered eternal rest on Sunday July 17. 2022 at Magnolias of Santee.

Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Thursday July 21, 2022, at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with Gerry Ardis officiating and her grandsons will be pallbearers. Burial will follow in the Harleyville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Wednesday at Bryant Funeral Home.

Frances was born on February 12, 1933, in Harleyville, a daughter of the late Arlee Knight and Maude Weathers Knight.  She was predeceased by her son Jeffrey Allen Ardis; siblings, William W. “Hick” Knight, James A. Knight, Jerome D. Knight, Virginia Pendarvis Way, Mary Estelle Day, Thelma Knight and Vickie Ann Roberson. 

Surviving are her children; Gene (Debbie) Ardis, Jr., Elloree, Gerry (Jennifer) Ardis, St. George, Jenny (Scott) Lyons, Walterboro and Jon (Charlene) Ardis, Harleyville; grandchildren; Rob (Shannon) Ardis, Joy (Darren) Woodard, Adam Ardis, Shanon Ardis, Janis (Bobby) Peavy, Lee Ardis, Hannah (Raleigh) Jagt, Rachel Ardis, Josh (Priscila) Lyons, Matt (Naomi) Lyons, Ashley (Joshua) Crockett, Jordan Ardis, Courtney Ardis, Hayley Ardis and Sheridan Ardis, Melissa Ardis, Kaite Bailey;  great-grandchildren, Cade Ardis, Ava Ardis, Andrew Woodard, Ethan Woodard, Isobel Woodard, Andrew Lyons, Evelyn Lyons, Daniel Lyons,  CJ Crockett, Riley Crockett, Archer Crockett, Dani Crockett, James Crockett, Adam Ardis, Jr. and Mary Anne Ardis, Draco Bailey and Anthony Peavy; a brother, Wallace H. (Dicksie) Knight and sisters; Catherine Reeves, Marie Weathers and Dot Smith.
