Fred “Freddie” William Rudd, 64, husband of Ruth M. Rudd, entered eternal rest on Saturday September 19, 2020 at McNair Nursing Home, Lake City, SC.
A Graveside Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at Dorchester Cemetery with Deacon Jimmy Horne officiating.
Freddie was born on January 7, 1956 in Dorchester, SC, a son of the late Willie “Bill” Rudd, Jr. and Jeanette Mizell Rudd. He was a diesel mechanic with Starr Redi Mix and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was an avid motorcycle rider and loved spending time with many friends. He was predeceased by siblings Patricia Southerland, Billy Joe Rudd and a niece, Susie Southerland Simons.
Surviving is his wife, Ruth Morris Rudd, Alcolu; a step-daughter, Shiela Vonnie (Richard) Westbury, Harleyville; step-sons, Waylon “Skeeter” (Valerie) Cutter, Alcolu and Derrick Ray Cutter, Santee; grandchildren, Hayden Cutter, Lexi Cutter, Drake Cutter, Peyton Herndon, Tyler Westbury, Taylor Westbury and Rachel Westbury; a brother, Tony and Becky Rudd, Dorchester; sister-in-law, Geraldine Rudd and a brother-in-law, Michael Southerland; and, many nieces and nephews.
