Harriette Vaness Reeves (known by her friends as Van) died peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Franke at Seaside, Mount Pleasant, SC.  Van was 92 years old.

Van Reeves was the beloved widow of Melvin Mouzon Reeves. Van was born on August 27, 1932 and raised in the Dorchester County area. She was the only daughter of Harriette (Habby) Hutto Philen and Kirksey (Pop) Monette Philen.  Van is survived by her three sons; Melvin Reeves, Jr., Kirk Reeves, Adam Reeves; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Family and friends of Van Reeves are invited to pay their respects and condolences at the visitation from 9:00-10:00 AM Friday morning, February 14, 2025 at Bryant Funeral Home. The  committal will follow at 10:30 AM in the Dorchester Cemetery.
