Helen Wagers Walters, 94, of Reevesville, widow of James Marvin “Skim” Walters, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at her residence.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Justin Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Heaton Cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour before the service.
Helen was born on April 10, 1931, in St. George, a daughter Dibble Pinckney Wagers and Blanch Campbell Wagers. She was a homemaker and member of Old St. George Baptist Church. She was predeceased by siblings, Bland Wagers, Dell Wagers, Margie Creel.
Surviving is her son, Van (Ima Jean) Walters, Branchville; a daughter, Debbie (Bruce) Hamilton, Columbia; grandchildren, Audrey (Justin) Cook, Jason (Kelly) Walters, Grant Hamilton, Amy (Drew) Vartenisian; great-grandchildren, Kinsey Helen Cook, Levi Vartenisian, Mia Vartenisian, Katelyn Walters, Grayson Walters and Edie Vartenisian; a brother, Sapp (Judith) Wagers; sisters, Eunice W. Shieder, Sylvia Horne, Ann W. Hartzog, and Jean Judy; special niece, Dill McAlhany; sister-in-law, Vera Murray and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank her special caregiver, Barbara Miller.
