Hubert Mitchum, 70, of Charleston, widower of Diane Harvey, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 29, 2022.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the Holly Hill United Methodist Church.

Hugh was born on June 27, 1952, in Charleston, a son of the late Carmen Mitchum and Elma Westbury Cooke.  He graduated from St. George High School, served in the US Army and was the owner of a trucking company and in automotive sales.  He was a member of Holly Hill United Methodist Church and the

Republican Senatorial Inner Circle. He was predeceased by a stepdaughter, Natalie Wilhelm and brother, Wayne Murray.

Surviving is his son, Huey Mitchum, Charleston; stepdaughter, Hollis (Johnny) Paige, Jamestown; step-granddaughter, Hampton Paige; a sister, Brenda Fullerton; brother-in-law, Dr. Robert Rhame; nephews, Robert Rhame and Brian Fullerton; niece, Ellen Pottharst; and, mother of his son, Victoria (Mic) Singletary.
