James Edward “Eddie” Kizer, II, 49, husband of Kristin C. Kizer, entered his eternal home after a brave fight with Bulbar ALS on Saturday, November 22, 2025.
Eddie was born on April 16, 1976, in Charleston, a son of James Edward “Ed” Kizer and the late Pamela Bunch Kizer. Eddie was a 1995 graduate of Dorchester Academy and received his associate’s degree from Orangeburg Technical College. He was an electrician at Giant Cement for over 25 years. He was a member of Brookhaven Fellowship and the Masonic Lodge of Harlevyille.
Eddie was a hardworking family man. He was the best husband, father, son and friend. Often called, “the salt of the earth,” he was there to help anyone in need. He loved his Clemson tigers and spending time at the lake with his family. He leaves behind his four-legged best friend, Jax, who was by his side to the end.
Surviving is his wife of 20 years, Kristin Creech Kizer; his two sons, Parker Allen Kizer and Mason James Kizer; father, James Edward “Ed” Kizer; mother-in-law, Susan Creech; brother, Daniel Rufus “Danny” Kizer; brother-in-law, William Edgar Creech, Jr.; nieces and nephews, Palmer Elizabeth Kizer, Braeden McCoy Kizer, Chloe Elizabeth Creech and William Edgar Creech, III (Tripp).
He was predeceased by his mother, Pamela Bunch Kizer; grandfather, James Harvey Kizer; grandmother, DeMarice Pendarvis Kizer; grandfather, Rufus Bunch; grandmother, Patsy Muckenfuss Bunch; and, father-in-law, William Edgar Creech (Bill).
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Brookhaven Fellowship with Pastor Phillip Purvis officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow in the Dorchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be William Brock Byrd, Pace Purvis, Jami Marchant, Don Pendarvis, Ethan Bair, Lee Dukes, Stevie Myers and Ron Herndon. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George.
