James “Jimmy” H. Mizell, Jr., husband of Jennifer Walters Mizell entered eternal rest on Friday April 25, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2025 in Limestone Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Yagman and Rev. Sid Mims officiating. Burial will follow in Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clayton Jackson, Matthew Smith, Dalen Trout, Jamie Walters, Larry Hill, Jonathan Strickland, and Robbie Smith.

Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home, 607 North Parler Ave., St. George, SC

Jimmy was born June 23, 1949 in Summerville a son of the late Henry and Annie Bishop Mizell. He was a graduate of Harleyville-Ridgeville High School and a member of Limestone Baptist Church. He retired from Charleston Naval Shipyard in 1993  where he was a machinist in Shop 38 and code 3200 for 25 years.  He and his wife then started Jimmy and Jennifer’s Custom Cabinets building cabinets together for 18 years. Jimmy enjoyed crosswords, fishing, hunting, billiards, and time with family.  He was predeceased by sisters, Carol Hattaway and Lynn Christensen. 

Surviving is his wife, Jennifer Walters Mizell; his children; Tammy Williams, Charity Smith, Katrina (Travis) Feagin and Michael (April) Jackson. Grandchildren; Robbie Smith, Matthew Smith (Tiffani), Anna Campbell (Cody), Dalen Trout (Morgan), Clayton Jackson (Savannah), Morgan Martin, Ryann Martin, and Payton Feagin. 8 great-grands, Landen Williams, Blaine Murphy, Kinzey Williams, Camron

 Smith, Jonathan Smith, Lincoln Smith, McCoy Jackson, and Porter Trout. Sisters; Gloria Walters (Terry), Kathy Woods (John), Rosie McManus.
