John Otis Carn, Jr., husband of the late Jeanette Way Carn, entered into eternal rest on February 5, 2026 at Magnolias of Walterboro.
Otis was born on July 5, 1933, a son of the late John Otis Carn and Ida Kizer Carn. He was a retired dairy farmer and retired from the SC Forestry Commission. He served in the National Guard. He was a member of Indian Field Methodist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was predeceased by his wife, his twin sons, his son Duwayne Carn and brother James Allen Carn.
Surviving are his three children, Tamera (Carl) Durr, Darryl (Linda) Carn and Tina Warren; grandchildren, Jennifer (Travis) Berry, Casey (Ryan) Jackson, Kimberly (Nick) McAlhany, Taylor (Alex) Duncan, John Carn, III, Owen Bridge and Tyler Warren; great-grandchildren, Keeten Berry, Olivia Crosby, Kinslee Blankenship, Brelynn Windham, Clara McAlhany, Anna Bryant McAlhany, Harrison Jackson, Dolly Duncan and Slate Duncan; step-grandchildren, Robbie (Amanda) Brickle and Jennifer Daley; step great grandchildren, Jared Brickle, Jayden Brickle, Declan Daley and Kayler Daley; nephews, nieces and cousins.
Visitation will be held at his home, 9851 Charleston Highway, St. George on February 6, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 PM. Graveside Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Indian Field Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor George Moore officiating. Pallbearers will be Al Carn, Kevin Carn, Kerry Carn, Jamie Carn, Zachary Carn, Brian Carn and Jac Carn.
Memorials may be made to Indian Field Methodist Church, 2030 Highway 15 North, St. George or a charity of one’s choice.
