John J. Landingham, 78, of Rosinville, SC, passed away after a month long illness on January 9, 2026 leaving behind a legacy of laughter, orneriness, happiness, and unwavering love. Born
on May 15,1947 in Charleston, SC, John was the beloved son of the late Harry Landingham and Edna George and a cherished brother to Dixie McCurry and Travis George.
John was known for his adventurous spirit, dedication to family, and quick wit. He was in the Army from June 1968 to 1976 serving in the Vietnam War until 1970. He was awarded the
Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Service Metal with two bronze service stars. John was very proud to have served his country. He was a member of Indian Field Methodist Church.
John is survived by his loving children, Jonathan Landingham, Texas, and Laci Huber (Brent) Arizona; and his grandchildren Blake and Jace. He is also survived by his nephew Lee Moore
(Susan) Maryland and great nephews, Garrett and Brett.
A service to celebrate John’s life will be held 11:00 AM at Indian Field Methodist Church in Saint George, SC on January 13, 2025. The viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. with the service immediately following. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
