Joyce “Joy” Wimberly Kizer, 80, wife of Charles Kizer, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at her residence.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 13, 2024, at Indian Field Methodist Church with Rev. Thomas Sandifer and Rev. Haskell Parler officiating. A burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Beaudrot, Jared Beaudrot, Dr. Len Reeves, Michael O’Cain, Sammie Infinger and David Wimberly. Honorary Pallbearers will be employees of the First National Bank.
The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
Joy was born on July 5, 1944, in Dorchester County, a daughter of the late Jefferson Davis Wimberly and Catherine Louise McGrew Wimberly Knight (Legare). She was a graduate of the American Bankers Association and was the Branch supervisor and Mature Market Coordinator with First National Bank.
Joy enjoyed being tasked as the Bank Travel Club Coordinator. She was a member of Indian Field Methodist Church. Predeceased by a brother, J.D. Wimberly and a sister, Rae Way.
Surviving is her husband, Charles Kizer, St. George; son, Harold Jeffery (Rhonda) Beaudrot, Lexington; grandchildren, Ryan Jeffery Beaudrot and Jared Robert (Taylor) Beaudrot, all of Columbia; brother, Terry Wayne Wimberly, Holly Hill; step-brothers, David L. (Anne) Knight, Harleyville, Neville Knight, Branchville, Raymond (Dale) Knight, St. George; a step-sister, Delores (Ernest) Jackson; sister-in-law, Anne (Doug) Reeves; and many nieces and nephews.
