Joyce Felder Shuler Obituary

Joyce Felder Shuler, 80 of the Providence Community, entered into eternal rest on Friday June 14, 2024, surrounded by family.


A graveside Service will be held at 10am Monday, June 17, 2024, at Jerusalem Methodist Church, 7347 Old Number 6 Hwy, Santee, SC with visitation immediately following in the fellowship hall. Pastor Rick Atkinson will be officiating.


Joyce was born May 19th, 1944, in Orangeburg, SC, and was raised in Santee, SC. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Fannie Felder. She was a 1962 graduate of Elloree High School and a long-time employee of Walmart, where she retired in 2016. Joyce loved tending her flowers and feeding her birds. She was a huge sports fan, especially Clemson football and Nascar. Joyce loved nothing more than spoiling her fur babies, Sadie Mae Shuler and the late Happy. 


Survivors include her daughter, Claire (Joey) Mizell, sons, Dougie (Tiffany) Shuler, and Craig (Kathy) Shuler. Grandchildren, Brianna (Chase) Odum, Brice (Tori) Shuler, Hayden (Michael) Shuler, Elizabeth Mizell, Hanna Shuler (Jarrett), Alexis Mizell. Great Grandchildren, Briar Kate and Shuler Odum.


The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the MUSC – Downtown Columbia ICU care team for taking such considerate care of her and the family during her recent hospitalization.
