Julie Buchanan Carter, 47, of St. George, entered eternal rest on October 15, 2022.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 20, 2022, at St. George United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in the St. George Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George.

Julie was born on November 4, 1974, in Columbia, a daughter of James M Buchanan and Kaye Byrd Harper.  She was a 1993 graduate of Dorchester Academy and received her associate degree from Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College.  She was the office manager at Giant Cement Plant and was a member of the St. George United Methodist Church. Julie was known for her contagious smile, sweet personality and selfless love for her family and friends.

Surviving are her sons, Cole Carter and Dylan Carter; her mother, Kaye Byrd Harper; her father, James M Buchanan; sisters, Kristen Buchanan Hatchell and Stephanie Harper (Madison Bishop); and her loving niece, Kaydance Hatchell.
