Kedron Lanier Floyd, Sr. Obituary

Kedron Lanier Floyd, Sr., 81, widower of Betty Lou Antley Floyd, entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 5, 2022, at his lake residence.


A Memorial Service will be held 6:00 PM Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Haskell Parler and Matt Suttle officiating.  Visitation will be held at 4:00 PM until the time of service and other times at the home of Ward and Paula Knight, 200 Chokeberry Circle, Eutawville.


Pallbearers will be his grandsons and Jarod Whitlatch.


Kedron was born on June 22, 1941, in Sumter, a son of the late Allard Dewitt and Emmie Lou Revell Floyd.  He was a sawyer for Holly Hill, Upchurch and Ashley River Lumber companies, charter member of the Good Cheer Hunting and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He was a member of the Harleyville First Baptist Church.  He was predeceased by a son, Kedron “Eddie” Floyd, Jr. and siblings, Mary Ella Wefers and Patricia Ann Winter.


Surviving is a son, Dewitt (Suzette) Floyd, Santee; daughters, Paula (Ward) Knight and Karen Floyd Marchant, all of Eutawville; brothers, Randolph Earl Floyd and Clark (Ellen) Floyd; a sister, Belinda Barthel; grandchildren, Lil Eddie Floyd, Chris (Sarah) Floyd, Meagan Floyd, Marion (Kate) Floyd, Terri (Greg) Austin, Katie Marchant, Joni (Jarod) Whitlatch, Lil Johnnie (Caroline) Marchant, Jarrett Marchant, Michael (Jordyn) Knight, Drake (Christine) Knight and Sommer (Ryan) Knight; great-grandchildren, Bubba, Destiny, Brooke, Sims, Makhi, Joshua, Witt, Ford, Parker, Cooper, Bristal and Iris; and his companion, Winnie Hogan.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Harleyville, 211 West Main Street, PO Box 297, Harleyville, SC 29448.
