Larry Oswald Strickland, 75, husband of Sandra U. Strickland, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Trident Medical Center.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 7, 2025, at Utsey Cemetery with Rev. J. Spencer Brotherson.  The family will receive friends an hour before the service.

Larry was born on November 23, 1949, to William Newton Strickland and Pearl Louise Rivers Strickland. He worked as a self-employed carpenter. He attended Cotton Gin Country Church where he participated in singing and playing the guitar.  He loved the Lord and was a devoted servant of Christ.

He was predeceased by a brother, Robert A. Strickland.

Surviving is his wife, Sandra Utsey Strickland; daughter, Sandie Strickland (Terry) Evans; grandsons, Hunter and Jake Evans; brother, John E. (Virginia) Strickland; nieces and nephews, Cindy Soard, Janet Dubois, Sherri Lynn (Steve) Best, Jennifer (Steve) Weeks; Andy Strickland, Ann Simms and Lisa Avant.
