Lawrence Franklin “Frank” Fralix, 85, of Reevesville, passed away at his home on October 7, 2025. Frank was born January 19, 1940, in Reevesville, SC a son of the late William Haskell Fralix and Lucille Walters Fralix.
Frank was a graduating member of the St. George High School of 1957. Upon high school graduation, he served as a US Marine for four years, and he was forever proud to be a Marine. He retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard where he served as electronics instructor and supervisor in the Module Maintenance Facility. As a supervisor he continued to serve his fellow Marines by applying his electronic skills to support security at Marine bases. For over twenty years, he owned and operated Frank’s TV Service which later became Frank’s Electronics. Frank was a deacon at Old St. George Baptist Church. He was blessed with the spiritual gift of teaching, and as long as his health allowed, he readily served as Sunday School teacher. He was most proud of his marriage to the love of his life, Elvenia Marchant Fralix, and the family they built together. Throughout his life, he cherished raising his four daughters and often shared stories about his family with pride. He was affectionately known as “Pepaw” to his grands, and in recent years, he found great joy in spending time with his great grands, creating lasting memories with them. Above all, he emphasized the importance of keeping Christ as the foundation of our lives, inspiring those around him with his steadfast faith and devotion.
Frank is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elvenia Marchant Fralix, four daughters, Suzi (Lynwood) Hines of Pittsburgh, PA, Yvette (Steve) Hayes of St. George, Danette (Danny) McAlhaney of Bamberg, Nan (Tommy) Peagler of Reevesville, seven grandchildren: Nathan Hines, Stevie (Charlotte) Hayes, Robbie (Martha) Hayes, Frankie (Charlotte) Hayes, Tallie (John) McDowell, A.J. McAlhaney, Heather Aycock, eleven great grands, SQ Hayes, Andrew Hayes, Austin Hayes, Sydney Hayes, Avery Jones, Ayden Jones, Polly Hayes, Haley Stegall, Annabeth Stegall, Ellie Hayes and Dale McDowell, and one great-great-grand: Brantley Hayes, brothers and sisters: Haskel Fralix, Eddie (Peggy) Fralix, Elaine (Furman) Dukes and Tammy (Zach) Walch; in-laws, Florelle Weeks and Douglas (Shirley) Marchant, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a grandson, Max Andrew Aycock.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, October 10, 2025 at Old St. George Baptist Church with Rev. James Way officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Brownlee, Craig Fralix, Brian Fralix, Randy Dukes, Wesley Infinger and Timothy Peters.
The family will receive friends at the home, 499 Maple Branch Road, Reevesville until the day of the service and also an hour before the service from 1:00-2:00 PM in the church.
