Lawrence Peter “Pete” Simons, 65, of St. George, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 1, 2024.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Saint George Church of Christ on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 11 AM.

Pete was born on June 8, 1959, in Colleton County, a son of the late Lawrence Duncan “Tat” Simons and Jo Ann Goldman Simons.  He was a graduate of St. George High School and worked in construction.  He loved his daughters, enjoyed hunting, fishing and horses.

Surviving are his daughters, Lauren (Jordan) Beard, Meagan (Jackson) Griffin and Kayla (Nelson) Young; a granddaughter, Lillian Young; and, two sisters, Susan Christine (Mike) Heath and Martha Elizabeth “Beth” (Dean) Johnston; nephews, Kyle (Lauren) Heath and Harrison Heath; and niece, Carleigh Johnston.
