Margaret Parler Westbury, 85, of Harleyville, wife of Thomas J. Westbury, Sr., entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 22, 2026.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Harleyville Southern Methodist Church with Reverends Barry Owens, Shane Courson and Haskell Parler officiating.  Burial will follow in the Harleyville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Barry Roach, Jr., James Westbury, Jr., Dustin Sease, David Drumheller, Steven Wickers and Haskell Parler.

The family will receive friends an hour before the service.

Margaret was born on July 18, 1940, in Dorchester, a daughter of the late James St. Clair Parler and Ida Lois Hinkle Parler.  She was a graduate of Harleyville Ridgeville High School and later taught at Mims Academy and was a homemaker.  She was a member of Harleyville Southern Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and loved her Southern gospel music.  She was predeceased by a sister, Judy D. Parler.

Surviving is her husband of 66 years, Thomas J. Westbury, Sr., Harleyville; children, James (Patty) Westbury, Lisa W. (Barry) Roach, Sr., and Thomas J. (Patricia) Westbury, Jr.; grandchildren, Barry (Brittney) Roach, Jr., Amber (Steven) Wickers, James Westbury, Jr., Kaysie (David) Drumheller, Shawna (Dustin) Sease, Kristie (Matthew) Ross and Elizabeth Westbury; great-grandchildren, James (Tripp) Westbury, Timothy Westbury, Savannah Wickers, Silas Wickers, Baylee Roach, Graceley Ann Sease, Slate Sease, Asa Sease, Madelyn Drumheller, Micah Drumheller and Brayden Ross; special caregiver, Ida Daniels.
