Martha Miley Hartzog, 92, widow of Arthur Richard Hartzog, Sr., entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Colleton Medical Center.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at St. George Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bert Welch officiating.
Martha was born on April 16, 1928, in Walterboro, a daughter of the late Robert Richard and Irene Mills Steele Miley. She was a 1945 graduate of Walterboro High School and was a retail clerk with Hamilton’s Furniture, Specialty Gift Shop and ABC Propane. She was a member of the American Businesswomen’s Association St. George Chapter and Federation of the Blind, St. George Chapters. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church where she belonged to the Ruth Dewey Weeks Sunday School class, Young at Heart Senior group, WMU and the Lou Hill Ladies Group.
Surviving is her son, Arthur Richard (Jamie) Hartzog, Jr., North; two daughters, Linda Ann Hartzog, St. George and Betty (Ken) Garrett, St. Matthews; a sister, Pauline M. Smith, Philadelphia; a sister-in-law, Helen W. Hartzog, Jacksonville; and, a number of nieces and nephews.
