Martha Wolfe Martin, 93, was born in Cope, SC to the late John Marion Wolfe and Zelma Smoaks Wolfe. She completed the 11th grade as to that time being that was highest grade for girls. She passed away at Pruitt Health in North Augusta, SC surrounded by family on Thursday, March 13, 2025.
She was the widow of the late Heyward Legree Martin. She retired as a lead packer for Amoco Foam Products (Pactiv) in Beech Island, SC.
She was predeceased by a son (HL Martin), daughter (Ann Wilson) and grandson (Craig Brandon Martin) and brothers, Roger, Willard, Jack, Tom and George and sister, Gloria Porterfield.
She is survived by sons, Michael (Jason) Martin of Beech Island, SC, Tony Martin (Ola) of North Augusta, SC and Wanda Byrd, Branchville SC; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; a sister, Pretto Hayden (Wayne) and a brother, Robert (Evelyn) Wolfe both of Branchville, SC.
She will be truly missed by all that knew and loved her. The family will like to express their deepest gratitude to her caregivers over the last few years during her battle with dementia and other illnesses as she aged, but the family would like to recognize Sylvia Smalls and Kelli Latham the most for the care, love and tenderness during these years so that mom could continue to live in comfort of her home and her granddaughter, Hannah Byrd who was living with her to help care for her until her last week where she was moved to Pruitt Health in North Augusta, SC.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, March 17, 2025, at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dawjr Wood officiating. The burial will follow at 4:00 PM in Jackson Memorial Park Cemetery in Jackson, SC. Pallbearers will be Paul Martin, Austin Martin, Aiden Jumper, Bryce Jumper, Will Tankersley and Dickie Byrd. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3:00-5:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George.
