“Happy Mike" was born on October 3, 1954, and the son of the late Isaac Maxwell Minus and Mildred Bazzle Minus. He was a graduate of St. George High School and retired as Plant Manager with Star Redi Mix after many years of dedicated service. A passionate supporter of youth sports, he served as both a coach and commissioner with DYB, where he found great joy in mentoring and encouraging young athletes. He was especially proud of being a coach of the first-ever AAA State Championship baseball team at Dorchester Academy. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, working in his yard, and, above all, spending time with his grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and happiness. He was a member of St. George Methodist Church. He was predeceased by a grandson, Harley Bozard and siblings, Jim Minus, Mackie Minus and Patti Minus.

Surviving are his sons, Max Minus, Reevesville, Chris (Nikki) Minus, St. George and Spence (Shannon) Bozard, Reevesville; grandchildren, Ava Minus, Sadie Minus, Conlee Minus, Miller Minus, Maverick Minus, Zachary Bozard, Cody Maw and Jackson Maw; brother, Steve Minus and his mother-in-law, Christine McAlhany.

Memorials may be made to St. George Diamond Youth, 102 Kelly Drive, St. George, SC 29477.
