Millie Mae Jackson Singletary Obituary

Millie Mae J. Singletary, 93, widow of Charles William Singletary, of St. George, entered into eternal rest November 30, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.


Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday December 2, 2024, in the Indian Field Methodist Church with Rev. Thomas Sandifer officiating.  The visitation will be an hour before the church service in the church.


A burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The pallbearers will be Darryl Horne, Keith Horne, Andrew Horne, Johnny Jackson, Jonathon Elliott and Samuel Horne.


Millie was born on August 7, 1931, in St. George (Rosinville), a daughter of the late Johnny Pinckney and Emma Essie Martin Jackson.  She was a graduate of St. George High School and was a seamstress.  She was a member of Indian Field Methodist Church where she was a choir member and Good Cheer Sunday School class.


Predeceased by siblings, Gloria Horne, Dorothy Murrell, Wilbur Jackson, Legare Jackson, Allen Jackson, J.P. Jackson and Janie Bell Mallard.


She is survived by her beloved brother-in-law and best friend, Gene Horne and numerous nieces and nephews.


The family would like to thank her caregivers for their love, Margaret Ann Carn and Margie Johnson.
