Patsy LaVera Hilton Obituary
The late L.N. and Mildred Hilton gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Patsy LaVera Hilton on Easter Sunday, April 1, 1956. Her father nicknamed her “Rabbit.” On July 24, 2026 she joined her late parents in their heavenly home. Patsy is survived by her two sisters, Deborah (Bill) Behie and Janet Hilton. Her nephews, Nathan (Lauren) Behie and Jimmy (Melissa) Behie. She is also survived by five great nieces, two great nephews and two great, great nephews. She leaves behind her special friends, Tim Donovan, Stephanie Sox and her beloved cat, “Baby Girl.”
Patsy attended Mims Academy and The Citadel. Patsy retired after 30 years of service with the South Carolina Department of Revenue as a Corporate Sales Tax Auditor.
Patsy enjoyed the beach, antiques, puzzles, reading, baking and cake decorating and watching Jeopardy!, often knowing the answers before the contestants. She also loved to travel, visiting 47 of the 50 states as well as many countries throughout Europe. Her curiosity and adventurous spirit brought her joy and created many cherished memories.
She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially cats and dogs.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 27, 2026, 11:00 AM at Zion Methodist Church, Dorchester, with Rev. Ronnie Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nathan Behie, Jimmy Behie, Grahame Behie, Richard Hilton, Robert Hilton and Dean Pafford.
The family will receive friends an hour before the service.
