Robert David Horne

Robert David Horne, 60, of St. George, husband of Christina A. Horne, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 27, 2026.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held 4:00 PM, Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Givhans Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery with Rev. Craig Crosby and Pastor Bruce Oler officiating. Pallbearers will be Danny Jackson, Corey Keitt, Lee Taylor, George Hanna, Michael Taylor and Jeremy Hughes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Fat Johnson, Randy Summers, Derrick Berry and Andrew Bali.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George.

Robert was born on July 30, 1965, a son of Morgan Davis Horne and the late Linda Hiott Horne.  He was a graduate of St. George High School and was a supervisor with the Dorchester County Public Works.  He was a passionate farmer and hunter who found joy in the land and the outdoors. He loved operating heavy equipment and took pride in his work. Above all, he was a devoted husband, a best friend, and a wonderful father who will be deeply missed.

Surviving is his wife, Christina Acosta Horne, St. George; three sons, David Horne, Charleston, Oakley Jones (Taylor Marchant), St. George and Zachary Jones, Greenville; daughters, Stacy Militsakh, Nebraska and Isabella Jones, St. George; his father, Morgan D. Horne; brother, Eric (Lori) Horne; sister, Penny Williamson; grandchildren, Gabriel and Benjamin Militsakh, Colby Horne, Wyatt Jones, Colton Jones, Hudson Garnsey, Waylon Garnsey and future grandchildren, Miles Blewer and Archer Jones.
