Ruth Elizabeth Bazzle Marchant, 94, of St. George, widow of Thomas Bradley Marchant, of St. George entered eternal rest on Sunday May 28, 2023, in the Colleton Medical Center, Walterboro, SC.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday May 31, 2023, in Indian Field United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Reeves and Pastor Craig Crosby officiating with burial to follow in church cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George.  Pallbearers will be Johnnie “Bubba” Marchant, Jason Marchant, Ward Patrick, Bill Marchant, Colvin Marchant, Jarrett Marchant, Chance Powell and Layne Powell.

Ruth was born March 30, 1929, in Colleton County, a daughter of the late Benny and Florence Jackson Bazzle. She was a member of Indian Field United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by children, Mary Louise M Pendarvis, Billy Walker Marchant and grandson, Robert Wayne Marchant, Jr.; siblings, Virgil Bazzle, Jerry Bazzle, Sr., Mattie Mae Marchant, Vivian Bazzle, Randolph Bazzle and Benny Lee Bazzle, Jr.

Surviving are her children, Tommy P. (Patty) Marchant, Deloris “Dee” Patrick, Robert (Charlotte) Marchant, Johnnie (Stacie) Marchant and Allen (Melissa) Marchant; grandchildren, Helene (David) Sullivan, Gwen (Mark) Gladden, Cheryl (Chance) Powell, Bill (Becky) Marchant, Barbie Marchant, Brianna Marchant, Libby (David) Coffield, Carmen (Don) Willson, Brandy (Loren) Metts, Ward Patrick, Mandy (Brian) Corbett, Jason (Krystal) Marchant, Katie Marchant, Joni (Jarod) Whitlatch, Johnnie “Bubba” (Caroline) Marchant, Taylor (Josh) Traxler, Jarrett Marchant and Mary Catherine (Chris) Blanchard 37 great-grandchildren and 15 great, great-grandchildren.
