Vernelle D. Myers, 84, widow of Wayne Roger Myers, Sr. entered eternal rest on Monday, May 27, 2024, at Trident Regional Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday May 31, 2024, at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Mims officiating.  The pallbearers will be Dudley Patrick, Karey McAlhany, James Watts, Mark Meyer, David Myers, Wayne Butler, Chip Driggers and Andy Myers. Burial will follow in Limestone Baptist Church cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before the service in the funeral home.

Vernelle was born on May 2, 1940, a daughter of the late Joe and Maggie Stephens Driggers. She was the Valedictorian of her Class of 1958 at Berkeley High School, and she was a member of Limestone Baptist Church and was predeceased by brothers, Lloyd and Edward Driggers.

Surviving:  a daughter, Susan Marie Myers, of St. George; a son Wayne Roger (Hayle) Myers, Jr. Inman, grandchildren, Tyler R. (Serena) Infinger, Jonathan E. Infinger, Carolyn A. “Cammie” Myers, McKinley A. Myers, Wayne R. “Trae” Myers, III and Margaret Ann “Maggie” Myers. ; a brother, Stewart (Emma) Driggers, Moncks Corner; a brother-in-law, Richard A. (Lynn) Myers; sisters-in-law, Geneva Patrick, Evelyn McAlhany, Emily Watts, Dixie Meyer and Mary Ann Myers.
