Wayne Alan “Crazy” Mizell, Sr., 73, of St. George, husband of Sue Mizell, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at the Summerville Community Hospice House.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Limestone Baptist Church Cemetery with Harry Collins officiating.  Pallbearers will be his grandsons. 

Wayne was born on March 16, 1948, in St. George, a son of the late Rene and Bessie Mae Myers Mizell.

He was a 1966 graduate of St. George High School, retired as an Inspector with the Charleston Navy Shipyard and was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.  He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren.  He was predeceased by sisters, Janet Metz and Betty Hunter.  

Surviving is his wife, Sue Cronk Mizell, St. George; a son, Wayne A. (Holly) Mizell, Jr., Summerville; a daughter, Kelley Mizell (Jeff) Traylor, Summerville; grandchildren, Wayne Mizell, III, Wyatt Mizell, Wesley Mizell, Matthew Traylor, Joshua Traylor, Jacob Traylor and Katie Traylor; brothers, Rene (Lee) Mizell, Jr. and Roy (Ellen) Mizell; and, a sister, Linda (Harry) Collins.
